Company profile

IPS Ceramics has a long history in manufacturing kiln furniture for the ceramics industry and other industrial heat-treatment applications. Established in its present form in 2009, the company evolved from the merger of several leading manufacturers of high temperature ceramics, all bringing a bank of expertise stretching back over 60 years.

Although mostly known for its cordierite kiln furniture, IPS Ceramics also supplies a wide range of high quality technical ceramics for demanding applications. The main technical ceramics in our range are high alumina, silicon carbide and steatite, however recent additions include aluminium nitride, zirconia and zirconia toughened alumina.  We can source most technical ceramic materials if you have a particular requirement. Ceramics offer many advantages over alternative materials, particularly at temperatures over 1000°C where oxidation and creep become prevalent for most metals.  If you undertake a high temperature process (such as firing, sintering, incineration, hardening, annealing or other heat treatment) IPS Ceramics has the experience to rapidly and expertly evaluate possible technical ceramic solutions for your specific application.

IPS Ceramics collaborates with other quality manufacturers in both Europe and Asia to offer flexibility in production. Our technical ceramics are formed in a variety of ways,  typically by pressing, extrusion, injection moulding or casting, so that components can be designed from the start to meet your needs.
